Our company was started in 1982 by our founder, T.J. McBride, who established a subsidiary company in 1958 named Guaranty Pest Control, Inc. Throughout the years we were able to gain loyal customers that trusted the quality of our work. During the process of inspecting our customers homes, we would notice other services that might need to be addressed. We felt that we could offer them foundation work and/or other types of home improvements. In 1982 Foundation Repairs & Home Improvements, Inc. was established to help accommodate the needs of our new and existing customers. Our company is interested in keeping a close personal relationship with our customers and will continue to be there for them in the future. Because of doing business with us, our customers can acquire that personal touch for years to come with a special THANK YOU for each job we do. We also offer a referral program designed for our customers when referring their friends, neighbors and relatives.

Steve McBride, President
Steve McBride is President of Foundation Repairs & Home Improvements, Inc., an Alabama based corporation and one of the oldest foundation repair companies in the state. Steve is a certified foundation specialist in the state of Alabama and a leading expert in construction management. Under Steve’s leadership, his team has built lasting relationships with the community by offering consistent service for our customers. Mr. McBride has over 40 years of hands-on experience in the industry and is involved with every facet of the business. In addition to sales and marketing, Steve brings a wealth of knowledge to the industry by providing high quality workmanship and performance.
Richard Yerby, Foundation Specialist
Mr. Yerby joined our company in 1985 and has over 30 years of relevant experience. His philosophy is to provide our customers with an innovative, cost-effective solution to their structural needs.
Richards expertise lies in structural foundation issues. His coordinated efforts from project design, management and job acceptance has given him a tremendous amount of experience in all aspects of foundation repair. His structural projects include an array of residential structures, multi-family developments and commercial properties.
Doug Price, Foundation Specialist
Doug Price, a native of Alabama, has been working for Foundation Repairs & Home Improvements for the past 29 years. His vast experience in the construction industry has gained him a valuable reputation with many industry experts ranging from Structural engineers, Home Inspectors and Realtors.
Doug has been recognized for his many achievements and his continuing education has allowed him to become a certified expert in his industry while ensuring the company’s strength for many years to come.

Ken Pohlman, Structural Consultant
Mr. Pohlman has been with Foundation Repairs & Home Improvements, Inc. for the last 10 years. With over 45 years of total experience in the industry, Ken has developed an in-depth knowledge of structural issues. Because of his hands-on experience, Ken has become a leading expert in foundation management, ranging from structural consultant to project manager. His management approach has enabled him to oversee a range of projects at different stages of construction and development.

Basement Wall Braces, Retaining Wall
I was told to call Foundation Repairs by my neighbor Irene. I was having problems with a basement wall that was cracked and leaning and causing water to leak in. There was a wall that held back dirt at my driveway that was falling also. Foundation Repairs came out and braced my basement in order to dig up and waterproof my wall. They also replaced my brick wall along driveway. I was very pleased and had never had a problem when I went to sell my home.

Floor Repair & Replacement
This summer I had a young man who came out to address a problem I was having with an 100 year old house I had just purchased. He told me the job was to big for him and recommended I call Mr. Price at Foundation Repairs and Home Improvements. That has been one of my best decisions ever. They had to replace a lot of sills, joists and three floors. They poured concrete and put up new steel posts. My house is probably stronger than it was when it was built.
